Well, I can't think of any old foreign jobs I would rather drive than an old Cadillac.

I think that refinement is a good thing when we're talking wine, paintings or Brian Boitano. But for me a sportscar means an overheated interior(see a viper's rt10 side pipes), tons of oversteer to play and deal with, engine vibrations and 100+ decibels of engine. As long as these are in a car it won't matter if it's a pornstar or a supermodel if it peaks at 6 or 10.000 RPM.Hello to you all..we'll meet again.

Hello Alexshelby, welcome to the forums.
About the German/Italian cars' being supermodels, and American cars being porn stars, which is a very good way to put it by the way - I always wonder why everyone in porno is considered a " star ". You do one porno that is seen by 10 horny people on late night Cinemax and all of a sudden you're a star?

I think the best of both worlds would be a car with supermodel looks ( Lamborghini ), motherlike qualities ( station wagon ), with porn star ability ( Viper ). But then, we would be looking at one unusual car. As in real life, it may not be that common, but it's probably around somewhere.

You're right. It would be an unusual car and it will be ceratinly a close to perfection one. However me and I think that most of you outhere likes a pure one-sided supercar (4x4,sportscar etc.) to a good but a compromise solution like SUVs or the new UGLY crossovers like the B,D & R Class of "3-stared" perfectionists from Sindelfingen, Germany.I just like horses and donkey and not mules. The Viper is certainly the best porno-star but for me the supermodel means Porsche as Lamborgini has some pornstar abilities under that old Marcello Gandini new Luc Donckerwolke designed body. :P By the way I consider the Diablo more beautiful than the Murcielago not to mention the Gallardo.I am a classical Lamborghini fan admiring the Miura , Jalpa , Uracco & CO. and not the new belgium-german creations which have something evil in them but they have lost that TOUCH :P of " I'm the DIABLO coming all the way from of SAINT and I repeat SAINT Agatha Bolognese to kick your ass " :P Yes....they do that but they also have Audi's A8 swithces and buttons that don't exactly match the car's personality.Going overseas (i'm from Romania) I think that americans thave 2 icons : Mustang and Corvette.I love '64-'67 Mustangs as being true pony cars (not the later Mach and Boss) and I think Corvette is a pretty European-suspensioned car with great acceleration. The new '05 Mustang seems all right but come on Ford guys: rear live axle just doesn't scream agility and sportivness at me.(still probably although they deny that '78 Fox solid axle :P).C6 is good...perhaps the front is a bit bio-designed but the car is overall OK.The Viper is not such a Viper anymore but still a pornstar. My american fav.Bye

The live rear axle is retained not because the engineers are numbskulls, but because it is simple and low cost, and also because many Mustang loyalists' insist on that layout, for it's straight track performance.

The muscle bound SVT Cobra gets an independant rear suspension. And the Fox platform is no longer used - as of '05, it's completely new.

completely new, but sharing 70% of itself with T-Bird and Lincoln LS (as well as a few jaguars). The beam axle is sad, even camaro has had indapendant rear supsension for a while.

You have to drive a mustang to understand how bad that rear suspension really is. It is the worst part of what would otherwise be a pretty fun and decent car. How much money are they really saving, whatever it is, it isn't worth it.

the only european car i know with an 8 liter engine goes 250 miles and hour and gets to 140 in 10 secconds. The at the limits of the viper are better, it's a lot harder to get the viper to its limits than it is the viper, anyone whose driven them can tell you that. I like the audi tt a lot. there is more to a car than its engine and how fast it rolls down a quarter mile. stuff like style and the feel of the car, how you feel in it, or i could be wrong, seeing as i don't know anything.

and i don't need to work for ferrari, logic is the providence of anyone with a mind willing to use it.
