Anyone Know When an All-New Viper Will Come Out?

Does anyone have any idea when Chrysler will come out with a completely all-new Viper? Wasn't the 2003 version of the viper just a seriously updated and revised version of the 2001 model?
Competition is getting fierce, what with the all-new Z06 about to come out and kick some a**, and other cars out there like the GT40 and F430 and soon to be updated Gallardo and new 997 twin-turbo coming soon, .... it seems that an all-new from the ground up Viper is about due soon, wouldn't you guys/girls agree?

If they are going to do that, what do you guys think Chrysler should do to it to make it a viable competitor in this field? atleast 600 horsepower? 700? Suspension? Chassis? Brakes? And would a completely re-thought exterior & interior design be a good idea, or does it not need it?

Interesting to think about .........

IMHO they should lighten it further, redesign the exterior & interior, put much higher build quality into the car, make it have 700 or more HP, make it handle better, and somehow not increase the price.... Oh well I guess that's basically impossible ....

A completely new Viper will come no time soon, since it was already all new for 2003. The first major redesign since the production Viper's introduction in 1992.

New for 2006 though is the long awaited hardtop version, the SRT-10 Coupe. No major performance improvements are known to be in the works. The Viper may not be the all out dominator that it once was, but at well under $100,000 it remains one of the best exotic performance bargains, well under the price of the Ferrari's and Lambo's. It will be interesting though to see how the Viper holds it's own against the new ZO6 which will be in the same price range, and maybe even a little cheaper.

If you want more Viper than the factory can provide for now, then a good tuner is probably your best bet.
