Rep Power: 0 | Anybody out there have any cars that are good but are somewhat overlooked. I personally have two such cars. I have a 1987 LTD-Crown Victoria LX and a 1995 Buick LeSabre Custom. Both are awsome cars that have been seriously overlooked. My LTD has more power than most Corvettes and tops out at 185 mph without the turbo muffler. My Buick has not yet been tested for top speed but has about 300 hp and can also beat out many cars. I have beaten several Mustangs, Camaros, Firebirds, and Corvettes at drag racing. Like I said I don't know the top speed. If you have some cool cars that are not on this website that you think should be, say your say. |

Rep Power: 10 | American Super Cars Well, it is true that the engine placed in those cars (the LTD has a ford 302 - the Le Sabre has the 3800 Series 2) can make quite a few horsepower - actually a ton, your cars each weight approximately 2 tons, which is a lot for any engine to drag around. Dollar for Dollar, and with pickup for 6 people, no car beats a cranked up 95 Lesabre

Rep Power: 7 | I love the Buick turbocharged V6 stage 2. Seen dynos of over 1200rwhp in GN or T-type.
Those cars is fantastic in 1/4 mile racing. Like check this.

Comments: Stage II 274 CI V-6 Twin Limit Engineering 70mm Turbo's Engine Mgt. by "FAST". Back halved to accomodate 16.5" x 33" MT Slicks Weight 3335 W/Driver
This is sick 7.850s in a 3335 car with V6. |

Rep Power: 10 | v6 There is no doubt that the 3800 is the ideal muscle V6, in fact GM is debuting the next generation Buick Regal/Pontiac Gran Prix with a 280hp Supercharged 3800. The turbo is even better (there - you brought up turbos again). The buick GNX used a turbocharged 3800, and was the fastest US built production car for 4 years strait.

Rep Power: 10 | its crazy, but if they built something like that, put the Vortec 8100 big block under the hood, i am sure quite a few people (maybe even me) would be in line to buy one.

Rep Power: 7 | Yeah that's why I mentioned it. It's one of those crazy (and perhaps "retro" - somehow) looking cars that would be bought. I know I'd buy one. I think Buick should make more concepts like this. With a heritage like Buicks, I can think of many old designs that would be welcomed-back....
And speaking of the Vortec 8100, I think there's better engines you could replace this one with than the 8100 HP3. Besides would it make that much of a difference to have a 463HP 510lbs-ft engine under the hood than a 525HP 56olbs-ft one (or something like that?)? I guess it makes a bit of difference, but I don't think this car is about the performance, so much as it is about the down-right funky looks. Just my opinion. Wouldn't you buy this with the current engine? (I guess maybe it depends a bit on the price too....)

Rep Power: 10 | the current motor is a "heritage-based" motor, which is powerful, but very old in basic principal. An 8100, when tuned up (volvo penta has naturally aspirated versions for marine use over 500hp) could be a very good, torquey motor. For a car like this, a big-block is a must. All things considdered, a retuned 8100 would probably do well. I like this style of making cars. Move out of the way beetle and PT Cruiser, this is the way real retro should be.

Rep Power: 7 | I personally like ALL forms of retro! But how much does the engine that you mentioned cost? Or better yet, how much MORE does it cost (over the existing engine in this freakchild).

Rep Power: 10 | the 8100 is right out of a GM 3/4 ton truck, tune it a bit, I think it would be cheaper than the retro V8 in there right now.
