Audi RS6 NICHT schneller als BMW M3 und M5..!

Hallo Leute!

Hab heute mal wieder auf www.BMWM5.com reingeschaut und was entdecke ich: Ein Vergleichstest zwischen M5 und RS6, jedoch nicht für irgendeine Zeitschrift sondern in Zusammenarbeit von www.BMW.com und www.RS6.com! Und zwar aus reinem Interesse an einem objektiven Vergleich...! Der M3 und der RS4 mischen nebenbei auch noch mit!
Hier der Bericht, Videos vom Rennen werden auf der M5-Seite folgen, bis jetzt haben die sie noch nicht reingestellt..:

"The results where a bit surprising to me. First we did a short little test against the clock form 0-200 km/h with a stopwatch which is quite inexact. We got 16,9 s to 200 km/h which is an OK time especially with automatic and 4WD. With 4WD it's very easy to launch the car. Both from outside and inside it has a nice deep euro-V8 rumble. I didn't really take notice to how fast the gearchanges of the autmatic gearbox were but it felt OK. What surprised me was how fast you got to know the car. It didn't take too many seconds before you could go full power with as much confidence. I assume it's more thanks to the 4WD system than the active suspension system. So after some short spins it was time for a little crossing of Teutonic Swords! The smaller teutonic sword which is the M3. To be fair we did a rolling start from 50 km/h because of the 2WD M3 would have traction problems with the winter tires.

So first race was behind the M3 up to a litle over 200 km/h. It was totally equal to my surprise since I though the torque of the RS6 would overtake the M3. So we did one run more. Same result. The I said to the M3 driver: "OK go as fast as you can and try to outrun me". And we hit it from 50 km/h. Same result. I was postivly surprised how well the RS6 felt in high speed corners, I had total confidence in the car. But I could never overtake the M3 E46.

So the bottom line was that the RS6 is a nice package: good handling at high-speed corners and under full acceleration. Very easy to launch at red lights, M5 owners beware. Always try to start to race from a rolling start. But when the race is on the RS6 can't pass a M3 or M5 in the interval up to 230 km/h that we tried. It might overtake the M3 when it changes to 5th gear around 230 km/h. But the M5 is another match. Apparantly the RS6 have a little higher top speed than the M5 296 km/h but we'll see... The 4WD system apparently eats up alot of the 450 HP at hand and the difference isn't clearly noticable.


Tja, so sieht's aus! Wer hätte das gedacht.. Es geht eben nichts über einen guten Sauger..! Indem Sinne..

Bei diesem Vergleich ist wohl anzumerken das der M3 nicht mehr der Serie entspricht und mindestens so extrem abgespeckt ist wie @isch seiner.

Ja,ja, schwer zu glauben aber wahr: Der M3 ist fast 100% original! Lest selber:

The twin-turbocharged Audi RS6 is a serious contender to the now over five year old BMW M5 E39. So of course we had to see what five years of evolution of superdsedans have given us. Just in case we brought the now discountinued 450 HP Audi RS4 with it's twin-turbocharged six cylinder engine and an M3 E46. The only modificatins on the BMW were Kelleners exhaust systems.

Ja,O.K dann war der M3 bis dato noch nicht abgespeckt das wußte ich nicht.Ich wollte den RS6 auch keineswegs in Schutz nehmen ich weiss selbst wie gut oder schlecht er geht.

Jaja, das ist mal so und dann so..

Captainfuture und ich hatten mal ein kurzes Aufeinandertreffen mit einem RS6 avant und das ging etwas anders aus-war aber auch im falschen Gang im M3, muß ma auch sagen.

Der Captain hat den Wagen auch sicher schon auf 300 PS runtergetunt

Dieses Ergebnis wundert mich ja ziemlich.
In irgendwelchen Zeitungen bei uns gewann meines Wissens nach recht häufig der RS6 gegen M5.
Bei diesem Test hier find ich sehr gut, dass man einen rollenden Start gewählt hat! EInfach um die Nachteile des Zweirad-Antriebs auszugleichen.

Guter Test und noch besseres Ergebnis!

Der große Vorteil des RS6 kommt erst ab 200 km/h. Aber eigentlich müsste der RS6 den M3 auch schon vorher distanzieren (sofern es kein Skelett-M3 ist). Ein Aufeinandertreffen von kye und Danny endete jedenfalls wenig erfreulich für Danny (um es mal nett auszudrücken). Allerdings war das "nur" ein M3 E36 3.2.

Warum soll der RS6 auch schneller sein als der M5.
Der RS6 hat mehr Gewicht, der Allrad frisst auch ein bisschen und am meisten sicherlich die Automatik. Da sind die +50 PS mehr nichts. Audi hat leider kein passendes manuelles Getriebe für den RS6 gefunden. Selbst bei diesem Getriebe wurde das Drehmoment vom Motor gedrosselt.

Also dieses Ergebnis ist nun wirklich keine überraschung! Der M5 war ja praktisch in jeden Test einen tick schneller als der RS6 ! Und dass der M3 mit den M5 mithalten kann dürfte ja auch bekannt sein.
